ASEANpreneurs Autodesk Design Challenge

Description:
The ASEANpreneurs Autodesk Design Challenge is an inaugural design challenge organized by ASEANpreneurs and sponsored by Autodesk to provide students the platform to design the next big thing! With the use of Autodesk design software,competing students can design anything from a futuristic product in the Manufacturing category, a dream villa in the Architecture category to simply any creative designs that you can think of under the Sketchbook and 123D Design category. Don’t just stop at being an aspiring designer, make it a reality at this Challenge! You may well be on your way to brushing shoulders with industry experts at the Autodesk Panorama 2013 that will be held at Autodesk University in Las Vegas!

Eligibility:
Entrants must be 18 years or over the age of majority in their jurisdiction or residence, whichever is older, as of 1 January 2013.
Entrants must also be an existing full-time student in a tertiary institution located in the ASEAN-member countries.
A team of maximum two members is required to enter the competition
For entrants participating in the Manufacturing and Architecture categories, it is highly recommended that the team should engage a faculty member as a team advisor for this challenge.

2013 International Robot PRIDE Competition (PRIDE2013)

Description:
Center for Humanoid Robots and Bio-Sensing (HuRoBs), UiTM, in collaboration with IEEE-RAS Malaysia Chapter and Malaysia Robotics and Automation Interest Group (MyRAig) are proud to announce the second International Robot PRIDE Competition 2013 (PRIDE2013). This year event will be organize in Shah Alam, Malaysia from 2nd to 4th December 2013. The objective of PRIDE is to explore and exhibit innovative ideas and design within the scope of Robotics, Sensors, Automation, Computation and Intelligent Systems. The competition focus on fundamental and application using creative engineering and computer technology towards potential exploration as commercial products. PRIDE is a platform where inventors meet the investors.

Innovate Malaysia Design Competition 2014

Description:
Innovate Malaysia Design Competition is a multi-discipline engineering design competition open to all final year undergraduate engineering or computer science students in Malaysia. The goal of the contest is to promote innovation culture and mindsets among university graduates, to enhance knowledge and skill set in practical engineering and promote greater interest in engineering design, and to promote more industry and university collaboration. Agilent, Altera, Intel, MathWorks, National Instruments, and Silterra as the leaders in electronic instrument, programmable logic, microprocessor, numerical computing, control automation, and IC fabrication respectively, creates an environment of learning through innovation and positive competition by holding a multi-discipline engineering design contest. Innovate Malaysia Design Competition 2014 welcomes the most ambitious, creative, smart undergraduate engineering or computer science students to work together and turn all of your imagination into reality!

SME’s Innovate (Doing Well by Doing Good)

Description:
The SME’s Innovate (Doing Well by Doing Good) is the national competition for the Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises’ entrepreneurs/companies. It is designed to elicit ideas, create innovative designs and products that are low-cost, affordable, acceptable, accessible and sustainable, and which can then be exploited and commercialised for the benefits of the grassroots such as under-privileged women, youths, disabled and the poor identified as Bottom of Pyramid (BoP). The competition is based on open innovation concept and applicants can choose from a plethora of projects/products covering technological innovation; business process innovation; workflow innovation; delivery system innovation; research process innovation and grassroots innovation.
The SME’s Innovate (Doing Well by Doing Good), which is part of the National Inclusive Innovation Programme 2013, is organised by Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards 2013


Description:
Each year, ILAM presented the outstanding Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards to Malaysian landscape architecture practices and related fields. The awards are open to all project submissions,  which have not won any previous ILAM MLAA Awards.
The award recipients receive featured coverage in ILAM’s Bulletin Landskap and a special publication in conjunction with the award - Landscape Architecture Malaysia Yearbook and a Special Edition in the local press following the award ceremony. Award recipients will be honoured at the Awards Presentation Ceremony during ILAM’s Annual Dinner, scheduled in April each year. The Awards are also part of the activities held in conjunction with the World Landscape Architecture Month Celebrations.

The official entrant must be submitted by the member of ILAM (Except Student Member) from the consultancy firm which was involved in the submitted project.

2. Landscape Contractor Category
The official entrant must be from landscape contractors or builders.
3. Property Developer Category &

Bristol Student Design Competition 2013

Description:
Bristol would like to share its expertise in the office furniture manufacturing industry by organizing a student design competition to provide an opportunity for students studying in institutions and universities in Malaysia to showcase their talent in the design field.
Two categories are open for this competition:- furniture design & interior design.
In collaboration with the Malaysian Design Council (Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia, MRM), our panel of judges for this competition consists of industry experts from the furniture and interior design industry in Malaysia.
All entries will be judged and only selected entries will be eligible for final presentation. All finalists are required to present their designs in front of a panel of judges and winners of this competition will be announced at the end of the year.
Theme
“The Experience” of form and functionality.
An ingenious design should be a balance of form and functionality, blending aesthetics with science and engineering whilst providing a superior user experience.
