2013 Sarawak Open Source Competition for Mobile Applications

Students from Institutions of Higher Learning are invited to participate in this competition
organized by Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS).

The Competition begins on August 2013 and the closing date for the competition is 31 October, 2013

Scope:

  1. Participants are required to develop a mobile application using open source technology. The mobile application shall run on either iOS or Android only.
  2. The deployment of any of the above components must not have dependencies on any commercial products.
  3. Any other open source technology can be used, where applicable.
  4. Participants must make use of software (either readymade or created by the participant), to produce a workable solution. The usage of open source software should be clearly stated in the documentation.
  5. Any APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) used must be non-proprietary and not belong to any commercial product.
